The transition from Primary to Secondary education is an important time in a young person's life.

At The Friends’ School, we aim to develop capable learners and confident young adults who are able to think critically, make decisions for themselves and act with integrity.

Students have access to a varied curriculum and as they progress through their years of secondary education, they are able to tailor their studies to suit their individual interests and passions.

Students are able to participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities including a variety of sports (including rowing, sailing, equestrian, soccer, hockey and basketball), music and dramatic arts (including dance, musicals and individual and group musical tuition), service-related endeavours (button selling, Amnesty letter writing, working with the Southern Support School) and academic pursuits including the Da Vinci Decathalon, Mathematics Challenge and debating.

In these vital years, students are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities they have available to them and to create a balanced and rich schooling life.
