Parents / Guardians
Our families are what make our community so special.
Our families are what make our community so special. Guided by the Purpose and Concerns, we strive to create an inclusive and rich experience for all community members.
There are many ways for parents, guardians and carers to become involved in the life of the School if they choose to do so. Their help is always welcome and received with gratitude.
As stated in the School’s Learning Partnership Understanding;
“We understand that student learning is best enhanced through the development of a strong, collaborative learning partnership among all members of the School community. We understand that parents/guardians know their child. Upon enrolling, our families will work with the School to enter into the pursuit of healthy and purposeful relationships to achieve the aims articulated in the Purpose and Concerns.”
Our parent community is strong because of the many people who dedicate their time to organising a range of special events and functions each year. Many of these events provide an excellent opportunity to support fellow parents and the School, showcase our students’ achievements and values in action, and learn more about our Quaker heritage.
Every student is different, and the size and fit of garments do vary throughout the range so it is important that new students attend the Shop for a fitting. Appointments are also required for existing families who have a student moving into Year 5 who will need to be fitted for their formal uniform.
All appointments are booked and managed online through TryBooking. A range of dates and times from November to January have been scheduled and bookings are now open.
One hour appointments are suitable for:
– a new student entering in Years 5 to 12
30-minute appointments are suitable for:
– a new student entering in Kindergarten to Year 4
– a current student who is moving into Year 4
– a current student who needs to try on items
Students in Kindergarten to Year 6 are supplied with most materials, books, stationery, writing and drawing equipment in their classrooms and do not have booklists.
The School is pleased to continue its partnership with Lamont Books to provide stationery and textbook sales to students in Years 7 to 12 through their online ordering portal with delivery being made directly to families. The portal is pre-loaded with each of our booklists. Please note that the portal has been updated from last year and returning customers will need to create a new login.
Discounted postage rates apply to all orders placed between 9 November and 14 December 2020. An extended return and exchange period on booklist items are offered by Lamont during the back to school season so you can purchase with confidence. Please consult the Lamont website or the booklists for full terms and conditions.
If you wish to download a printable copy of any of the 2021 booklists they are available via the links below. Please note that some titles and editions have changed from previous years and it is important to consult the booklist to ensure you have the correct book if you intend to utilise second-hand copies. (NEW) next to an item indicates that the item is a new textbook to the school for the 2021 school year or that the item is a workbook.
The School provides School Handbooks for Friends’ Early Learning, Morris – Friends’ Primary Years and Secondary School, which includes the High School (7 to 10) and Clemes (11 & 12).
