We encourage students to play for a School team and (with parent volunteers) we are able to provide a high standard of support for the teams.
While these benefits are of merit in themselves, there is also social and emotional learning that takes place when we support children for success in team sports.
As children progress through the primary years they are expected to take more responsibility for themselves.
Commitment and promptness to matches are major parts of being a team member. From Year 2 onwards, once a sport is chosen, students need to commit themselves to every training session and be consistently available to play on weekends.
