Our libraries play a vital role in the education of our students.

We have three libraries at The Friends’ School (Morris, High School and Clemes).

The library plays an integral role in the teaching and learning that takes place across the School. The collaborative relationship between classroom teachers and the Teacher-Librarians aims to support students in all areas of their learning.

Through a varied and diverse collection, including extensive online sources, we aim to develop a love of reading to nurture and expand children’s imaginations, enriching their lives with new possibilities and providing an understanding of themselves and others. Later in their school career, our libraries support student learning through additional support, extensive resources and by providing a quiet space for study.

With the rapid development of information communication technologies and our focus on inquiry-based learning, we aim to equip our students with the skills to become lifelong learners, critically and effectively locating, evaluating and using information.
