By considering The Friends’ School for your child, you are expressing an interest in the supportive, academically rich, culturally diverse and service-oriented environment of the School.

Your child’s education is one of the most important decisions you can make about their future, so we hope you will take the time to explore our website and contact our Enrolments Officers for more information about our School.

The Friends’ School is a co-educational day and boarding school based on Quaker values such as valuing the individual person by recognising “that of God” in everyone, the desirability of simplicity and the need to establish peace and justice.

A Friends’ student has the chance to explore their individual interests and passion. They are able to challenge themselves academically and to have a varied choice of co-curricular activities to suit their individual needs. Our students give back to the community through varied service opportunities and they learn about the world around them through an excellent Outdoor Education program and through rewarding cultural experiences.

Entry to The Friends’ School is open to all members of the community from anywhere in the world regardless of gender, race or religion. Friends’ is an inclusive School, encompassing outstanding academic achievements, along with curriculum choices to suit all students and a comprehensive co-curricular program.

We accept applications from infancy with our main entry points being Kindergarten and Years 5, 7 and 11. There may be limited vacancies in other year groups.

Your enquiry is invited directly to Enrolments Manager Jen Scharkie and Enrolments Support Administrator Melinda Young via email – enrol.office@friends.tas.edu.au or phone: (03) 6210 2286.
