Posted on March 3, 2021

On Tuesday 23 February, five of our 2020 graduating students were recognised at Town Hall for their Outstanding Achievements in their 2020 ATAR and VET results. Recipients of a TASC Outstanding Achievement Award are students who achieve the top Australian Tertiary Ranking (ATAR) in Tasmania with rankings of 99.5 and above in their year 12 results. The four students who were recognised in this section were: Lilli Boucher, Flynn Bradbury, Julia Mountain and Max Powell.

The Outstanding Achievement in Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards are awarded to students who have demonstrated exceptional skill, ability and determination in their chosen industry area. These awardees are assessed by an expert judging panel. Henry Rheinberger was recognised in this section for his outstanding achievement in Pilates, attaining a Certificate IV in Year 11 and studying his Diploma in conjunction with his Year 12 studies. The awards were presented by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC. These awards recognise the hard work and excellence of these students and we congratulate them on this significant achievement.

Three of our awardees were unable to attend the ceremony due to moving interstate. The students who were able to attend were joined at the ceremony by members of their family and the school’s Deputy Principal, Shaun O’Rourke and the TCE coordinator, Jane Morrison.
