Clemes Academic Awards Afternoon

Posted on February 12, 2021

Thank you to everyone who attended (either in-person or virtually) the Clemes Awards Afternoon held at The Farrall Centre on Thursday 11 February. We are very fortunate to be able to celebrate our hard-working students in this way.

Palman Qui award recipient, Max Powell, with Head of Clemes, Adam Chambers, Guest Speaker Ailsa MacFie, and Principal Nelson File

We were also fortunate to have John Annells and his wife Jeanette in attendance for the awards presentations. John is an Alumni of the School and the grandson of Charles Annells, who is fondly remembered at the School through an Academic Excellence award for the most outstanding Year 11 student in English and at least one Humanities or Languages subject. The 2020 Charles Annells Award recipient was Darcy Webster-Jones.

Thank you to our speaker for the Awards, Ailsa Macfie (1999 alumnus) who gave an informative and passionate speech about her work with Tiwi College. Tiwi College is an exciting and dynamic secondary boarding school initiated and governed by the Tiwi people to provide quality education for the young Tiwi.
