The School covers two key sites: 395 Argyle Street (Friends’ Early Years, Morris, Clemes and Walker House Student Residence) and 23 Commercial Road (High School and School Administration). The Commercial Road site is linked to the Argyle Street site by a short walk across an overpass from Wilson and Carr Streets. Commercial Road is used for access to the main Administration office for the whole School.

Friends’ Early Years childcare centre at the Argyle Street campus operates from 7.30am to 6.00pm on school days. Friends’ Early Years provides long day care for children aged 0-4, the Early Years program for pre-kinder aged children, before and after school care, and vacation programs.

The Farrall Centre
A multipurpose facility, The Farrall Centre was officially opened in February 2011. Designed by Friends’ Old Scholars, The Farrall Centre supports the Friends’ community in diverse ways. It is used for concerts, art exhibitions, Assemblies, whole-of-School Gatherings for reflection, Leavers’ Dinners and many other events. The Farrall Centre is available for community hire and enquiries are invited via email.
Walker House is a co-education on-campus student residence on the Lewis Street boundary of the Argyle Street campus. Walker House accommodates up to 46 domestic and international students.
Friends Health & Fitness
This complex contains an indoor heated swimming pool, spa, steamroom, gym, tennis courts, juice bar and physiotherapist’s rooms. The School uses the centre for Physical Education classes and for Co-curricular activities. Discount membership is available to all staff. Parking and main entrance is on Wilson Street.
Far South Wilderness Lodge
This property is used for environmental education from Kindergarten to Year 12, and also operates as an accommodation facility for individuals and groups who come to explore this corner of Tasmania.
The building on the corner of Wilson and Elizabeth Streets houses The Friends’ School Shop, along with residential accommodation for students on GAP Placement and visitors to the School.
Extensive sports grounds for the whole School are situated about two kilometres north of the School between Bell Street and Queens Walk in New Town. The sports grounds play host to hockey, soccer and cricket and are also used for athletics training.
Friends’ School Boat Shed is situated in Lallaby Road on New Town Bay.
The School owns approximately 19 hectares of bushland at Orford.
Friends’ Archives was established in 1993. A part-time Archivist cares for the Collection.
Quaker Meeting House
The Hobart Meeting House of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) is located on the Argyle Street site campus and is made available for use by The Friends’ School by the Hobart Local Meeting.
Friends’ students attend the Meeting House each week to sit in silent reflection, in the spirit of a Quaker Meeting for Worship.
