Students select six subjects that they study for two years.
It is not compulsory to study a subject from Group 6 – the Arts. Students may opt to study an additional science, individuals and societies, or language course, instead of a course in the arts. This could lead to a double Science Diploma, or two Group 3 subjects such as Philosophy and History, or a Bilingual Diploma.
If Environmental Systems and Societies is taken, it can count as both the Group 3 and Group 4 subject, enabling a second selection to be made from one of the other Groups.
For example, the Double Arts Diploma: a Group 1 subject, a Group 2 subject, Environmental Systems and Societies for Groups 3 and 4, a Group 5 subject and two Group 6 subjects.
