Health and Physical Education at Morris

imageAll children at Morris participate in a specialist Physical Education program either in two half-hour sessions or for one hour each week.

In addition, the class teachers run daily PE sessions and Year 6 Games leaders run outdoor games for students during lunchtimes.

The curriculum focus is to develop a combination of transferrable skills promoting physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.

Students are challenged to improve their movement ability. They are supported and encouraged to enjoy physical activity and to see it as part of a healthy and active lifestyle.

For students in Years 3-6, participation in Morris Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals is expected and results from these carnivals are used to choose representative teams for the School.
