Morris Library: end of year book returns
It has been another wonderful year of borrowing in the Morris Library. Can you believe we had over 44,000 loans this year?! As the end of the term approaches, we ask for your help to ensure our library books are returned in a timely manner. The final day for student borrowing is Friday 1 December. All books are to be returned from Monday 4 December with the final day for returns being Friday 8 December.
Moving On Day – 4 December
Moving On Day is on Monday 4 December. The purpose of this day is to establish positive relationships between next year’s teachers and classmates before the long holiday. It is also a wonderful opportunity to introduce our new students into the School.
Students will spend time with their teacher for next year and get to know their new classmates. Parents of new students are invited to stay on, to meet specialist teachers and to be informed about the IB PYP Morris Curriculum. The morning will finish with a short assembly at 10.30am, followed by morning tea for new students and families.
Families will receive a note at the end of this day communicating their classroom teacher for 2018. We have taken great care to ensure that the 2018 class groups support all the children’s best interests and learning needs. We value your support in making this a positive transition.
The polar fleece jumpers and spray jackets have been removed from the High School and Clemes uniforms for four years now and with the introduction of the warmer rugby top, we are going to cease the wearing of the polar fleeces and spray jackets at Morris from next year. The polar fleece vests are a different garment and are still current uniform throughout K-12.
