Carolling Performance – Hobart Christmas Pageant
The Morris Maestros and Year 7/8 Choir will perform at the Hobart Christmas Pageant on Saturday 18 November, entertaining the crowds as they wait for the commencement of the annual parade through the CBD streets. Students should meet staff at the Information Booth in the middle of the Elizabeth Street Mall between 9.00am and 9.15am, and will perform (with breaks) from 9.30am – 10.30am. Students will then be dismissed back at the Information Booth after performing. As is usual practice, students will need to be signed out with a staff member as they leave.
The Hobart City Council have advised that there will be a number of road closures in the CBD from 9.00am on that day, and that you take this into account as you plan your arrival. A number of CBD car parks will also close at 9.15am and reopen after the parade, although the Hobart Central Car Park will be open all day. Free parking is also available at the Regatta grounds. Further details of road closures and parking arrangements can be found here.
School uniform is not required for this performance; students may wear green or red, or something ‘Christmassy’ to enhance the atmosphere of their performance. Given the nature of the carolling performances, the students should bring a named water bottle with them.
For further information, please contact Kerry Bennett.
The Term 4 Morris Soiree will take place on Thursday 16 November at 6.15pm in Hodgkin Hall. All are welcome to attend. Students wishing to perform should contact Kerry Bennett.
