Whole of School Information 03.11.2017
The Board of Governors are pleased to announce that Principal Nelson File as agreed to another five year term of appointment at The Friends’ School.
There will be an Information Evening on Wednesday 8 November for parents of students commencing Year 7 in 2018. The evening will run from 7.30pm until 9.00pm and will be held in the Bill and Marjorie Oats Theatre. It is recommended that you use the Carr Street entrance of the High School as we will have staff members positioned here to provide directions.
This is a valuable opportunity for both current and new parents to learn more about our Year 7 program. It also offers a great opportunity to meet key staff members and other parents.
We also consider it timely to let you know of our upcoming student orientation sessions. The first of these sessions will be held on Monday 4 December 2017 with the second scheduled for Friday 2 February 2018.
Students are not expected to wear school uniform on 4 December, however, they should wear their Friends’ formal uniform on 2 February 2018. A letter will be sent out to students in a few weeks time inviting them to these days.

New Rugby Top
We now have a new version of the School Rugby Top available for purchase at our uniform shop. Manufactured in Tasmania, the new rugby top is the same look as the current top (so no need to change over right away) but is made from machine washable, soft-wear wool with the traditional collar and stretch cuffs. This new rugby top is warmer, has more stretch (so is easier for younger children to put on and take off), has reinforced elbows, cuffs and bands for added durability and is less susceptible to fading. If you would like more information about the new rugby top, please visit our website.
