Clemes Information 01.09.2017
Clemes students have the opportunity to volunteer to make Boomerang Bags, this Saturday 2 September in the Textile Room at the High School from 10.00am through to 3.00pm. Lunch will be provided. Any queries please contact Sandra Brooks or 6210 2255.
Leavers’ Dinner 2017
The 2017 Leavers’ Dinner committee are seeking to borrow a range of jars from the wider school community for table decorations. We are also seeking yellow, white and purple flowers to be donated for Friday 29 September. If you are able to assist with either the jars or flowers please email Amy Harris or drop your jars into the Clemes, High School or Morris Offices.
Students and parents are reminded their RSVP is to be made via Caremonkey which includes indicating any dietary requirements. We ask for your support in stressing the true meaning of the event – to celebrate their opportunity to grow and learn within a supportive community and the culmination of their time spent at The Friends’ School. Mindful of the Quaker testimony of simplicity, we encourage students to question whether they really ‘need’ all the ‘accessories’ that seem to go with leavers’ dinners.
Clemes Council 2018
All Year 11 students received an email this week regarding the upcoming Clemes Council nomination and election process and are encouraged to consider nominating for the 2018 Clemes Council. Students can speak to Amy Harris or Tony Barrett about the challenges and opportunities provided through participation in the Council. Nominations are due 3pm on Friday 15 September (no late nominations will be accepted) with the election taking place the last week of Term 3. Information about the Clemes Council and instructions on how to apply can be found on the Clemes Council Googlesite.
