High School Course Selections for 2018
The course selection process for students entering Years 8, 9 and 10 in 2018 will commence shortly.
For students entering Year 8 in 2018, a Parent Information Evening is scheduled for Thursday, 31 August.
This session takes place from 7.30pm – 9.30pm, in the Bill and Marjorie Oats Theatre on the High School campus. A general introduction will provide an overview of the courses available, how these impact future study pathways, and how they are structured to build an individual student timetable. This part of the evening is followed by an opportunity for parents to meet individually with relevant staff who can address more specific queries.
The parent evening is followed by student sessions, which will run throughout the day on Friday, 1 September. These sessions provide students with year group specific information similar to that presented to parents. Curriculum Course Guides will also be distributed to each student at this time. These will provide a focus for a shared conversation before final subject selections are submitted, via our on-line process, by Monday, 11 September.
If you have any queries, please contact John Hoggart or Lyn Johnston.
