
Development Office
Welcome to the School's community
The Friends' School community is made up of a number of groups who support and participate in the life of the School.
Students, parents, staff, old scholars, former staff, members of the Board and friends of the School collectively make up our community and they are supported through the work of The Development Office and the Old Scholars Association.
The role of the Development Office at The Friends' School is to help establish and maintain relationships between the School and its community. The Development Office is located on the ground floor of Hobartville on the High School campus.
The main activities of the Development Office include:
- Community Relations
- Fundraising
- Bequests
- Special Events
- Old Scholars' Reunions, Regional Gatherings and Networking Functions
- Media Relations
- Alumni On-Line Communication
- Sale of School Merchandise
The Development Office also works closely with Archives, the Old Scholars Association and the Parents and Friends Association on a range of activities and projects. The work of the Development Office is supported by the Fundraising Committee, a sub-committee of the School Board.
Fundraising
One of the main functions of the Development Office is to encourage and support the commitment to philanthropy and spirit of generosity already strong within the Friends' community. There are three main streams of fundraising coordinated by the Development Office:
- The Annual Giving Program
- Capital Campaigns
- Bequests
Community Relations
The Development Office is responsible for organising a range of special events and functions (Grandparents Day, Naming Ceremonies, School Tours, Launches etc) throughout the year.
